Our Commitment

LVMH’s LIFE 360 strategy sets ambitious, measurable targets for Creative Circularity by 2030. These commitments apply across all 75 Maisons and all functions — from product design and supply chain to retail and communications.

Key 2030 Targets:

  • 100% of strategic product lines to integrate eco-design principles
  • Elimination of single-use plastics across all LVMH operations
  • Significant increase in the use of recycled, upcycled, and bio-sourced materials
  • Extended product life through repair, resale, and refurbishment services

Circular Innovation in Practice

Creative Circularity is already transforming how our Maisons design and produce. The following examples illustrate what this pillar looks like in action:

Louis Vuitton — Upcycled Canvas Program

Louis Vuitton has developed a process to recover and transform production off-cuts from its iconic Monogram canvas into new accessories. Materials that would previously have been discarded are reimagined as limited-edition pieces, combining circularity with desirability.

Stella McCartney — Mylo Mushroom Leather

In collaboration with biotechnology partners, Stella McCartney — in which LVMH holds a minority stake — pioneered the use of Mylo, a mycelium-based leather alternative. This material offers the luxurious texture and durability of traditional leather without the environmental cost of animal agriculture or petrochemical synthetics.

Parfums Christian Dior — Refillable Fragrance

Dior’s La Collection Privée fragrances are available in refillable formats, allowing clients to retain their bottles and replenish the fragrance. This initiative reduces glass and packaging waste while reinforcing the emotional connection between client and product.

Sephora — Product Return & Recycling

Sephora has implemented in-store beauty product recycling programmes in partnership with TerraCycle, enabling clients to return empty packaging for responsible processing — closing the loop at the point of sale.
